AT&T Navigator, the carrier’s navigation service, is going global. Using AT&T (NYSE: T) Navigator Global Edition, users of AT&T smartphones with built-in GPS receivers can get spoken or text-based turn-by-turn directions in English, German, Italian or Spanish in 20 countries. The coverage area includes most countries in western Europe, North America and the U.S. Caribbean, as well as the six cities in China that will host Beijing Summer Olympics events (Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Shenyang, Tianjin and Qinhuangdao).
In addition to navigation, AT&T Navigator Global Edition also features a local business finder service which contains more than 19 million businesses and services located in the U.S. and abroad.
AT&T Navigator Global Edition is available in conjunction with the domestic AT&T Navigator solution on the AT&T Tilt, BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) 8800, BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry Curve 8310, BlackBerry Pearl 8110, BlackJack II and MOTO Q 9h global smartphones for $19.98 a month.

It seems everyone is tooting the horn about this fact. All i can say is BOORING. Yet another reason to go with Nokia. You pick the maps you want, for whatever region you want and you pay 50% less if you want Turn by turn navigation.
Nokia fan
As an S60 user looking for an alternative to Nokia Maps (Samsung G810 – Nokia Maps wont work on my phone)
What would you recommend Dusan?
Are there any offline alternatives?
How about TomTom? It’s super easy to use and I love it!
Hmm

Thanks Dusan!
