HTC Touch Diamond coming to Sprint later in the month?

HTC Touch Diamond coming to Sprint later in the month? We do know HTC has a CDMA version of its HTC Touch Diamond smartphone ready (it’s been approved by the FCC, after all), and we know it will push it through both Verizon and Sprint. Now, we have a new tidbit of information suggesting Sprint (NYSE: S) may pick the stylish smartphone later in the month, and start offering it alongside its other popular all-touchscreen device – Samsung Instinct.

According to a recent writeup in The China Post, HTC will begin selling the Diamond “through Sprint Nextel Corp. in August.” Sprint spent millions to promote the Instinct, and now I’m wondering how they’re going to differentiate it from, honestly, way more powerful Diamond. To be fair, unlike the Instinct, the Diamond is a smartphone hence they may push the device as a more expandable solution for those people that like third-party apps and full Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) Exchange support…

In the meantime, some rumors indicate that the Samsung i900 Omnia is heading to AT&T, which is also known as the U.S. iPhone carrier. Interesting times are ahead of us. Consumers will have tons of choice when it comes to all-touchscreen devices. Prices should go down, and that’s a good thing. We’re watching closely…
