@Jeff – Verizon bought Alltel. I spoke to a sRep today and he told me the Diamond will HOPEFULLY be out by christmas, and their training will conclude around the end of november/beg of december. Thats all I have for now, I’ll check back soon and keep you guys updated.

It hasn’t been 30 days, Sprint just released the Touch Pro in select retailers (i.e. Best Buy) last Thu. 10/24. Looks like AT&T may release it next Tue. 11/4 & Alltel is going to release it soon as well. Lastly Verizon will probably release it toward end of Nov. at the earliest (but don’t count on Verizon releasing phones on time).

These things support flash now. Thats if you got the newest version of Opera Mobile, I seen it on the Unlocked GSM version, and I heard the Sprint Touch Pro will have the New Opera Mobile. This phone is a must have, Apple should let Adobe release that Flash App.

Hey guys here are the facts. If any network sucks in your area, it due to lack of users in any given area. The more users in an area the stronger demand for more equiptment i.e. more towers go up in that dead area. I have personally been with a great variation of networks and I also find the better the phone, the better reception in a dead area. However I do think sprint is the most responsive company based on omitting as many dead areas as possible, and service. They may possibly monopolize the PDA phone industry

I find myself agreeing with Mark here. Sprint sucks where I live, and I shall be jumping ship to either a Touch Pro or a Blackberry Bold whenever they hit AT&T.

Sprint…great phones, terrible network.

Verizon…great network, old and disabled phones.

I hope Verizon actually releases this without disabling its better features (Wifi, GPS), and I will make it my New Every Two purchase in November.

does the EU version of the phones work with any carrier in the us? 3g wise? if not, then hell i might as well go to verizon, i thought att would be all over it, cuz they also carry htc phones, but man iSuck is there life now, which sucks :. oh well they lose 1 customer for backing iSuck.

The Herman, or the HTC Touch Pro on Sprint, won’t have the 4GB internal storage that the Victor (HTC Touch Diamond on Sprint) does. Instead, the Herman will sport a microSD card slot for expandable memory. Apologies if I confused you, but the embedded links should help clear things up

Man, this is nothing but good news to me! Sprint gets the better of the two Touch Pros and rumor has it that the phones won’t even be making it to AT&T! This is priceless! Thank goodness I don’t have to stand in line to get my hands on a Touch Pro for Sprint seeing on how I work in a store so I get mine as soon as the owner gets their shipment I would just love to know when we should be expecting that “Herman” to make it to Sprint.

Now, I guess I’m just dumb but you kinda confused me when you mentioned about the Micro SD card slot for the “Herman” Touch Pro for Sprint. Does it have the Micro SD slot or does it have the 4GB internal memory?

I know I’m going to feel like an idiot as soon as you tell me but I’m tired… lol.

Sprint SERO is no longer available (at least in its previous form). The 500 minute plan is now $60. Sprint requires that you have an employee ID number to get in on their referral offers now.

What is going on!?!?! The HTC touch Diamond was not getting so many great reviews because of how slow the UI was before the update and now they are lowering the hardware on the verizon version?!?! THis both sucks and blows. I might have to switch to Sprint because of this. Lets hope its not true.

Dave don’t hold your breath on either of these phones going to AT&T. You can think the iPhone for that. AT&T wouldn’t want it because it might cramp the iPhone’s style which is AT&T’s top of the line offering.

I am seriously contemplating canceling my T-Mobile service and going with a Sprint SERO plan. I’d go with some crappy free phone until these bad boys are released. This is a phone I will stand in line for. Not the over hyped iCrap. At least these phones have the futuristic voice dialing and multimedia messaging. xD

Wow this blows… not for sprint or verzon ppl, but damn how long does att has to wait for this damn phone, release dates for gsm model keeps getting pushed back over and over again, dammit i cant wait grrrrrr
