UK: Top 10 phones, commencing 1/8/08

It’s been a while since I did it, so I thought I would re-visit the “Top 1o” handsets in UK retail – with information kindly provided by Mobile Choice UK. So let’s take contract devices first:

Not surprisingly the Tocco has made an appearance at the top of the chart, but it closely followed by Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s star performers, the 6500 Slide, and N95 8GB. Nokia and Samsung also have a smattering of other devices each, comprising most of the rest of the Top 10.

As regards Prepay, it looks kinda like this:

Samsung again occupy the top of the chart, but after that, it’s Nokia and old favourite Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) all the way… a real mixture of older devices, plus newer budget ones in there too!
