HTC brings software downloads to support section – HTC eClub still provides free downloads

HTC has proven time and time again that they’re the peoples’ smartphone maker. With relatively frequent software updates and widely available Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM downloads, HTC makes sure that their customer base is satisfied with their handsets in the long run. And, when ROM cooks take it upon themselves to hack HTC’s latest and greatest devices to support this or that feature, HTC sits by and proudly watches the community tweak their hardware.

Now, HTC has made it even easier for HTC handset owners to get software updates through the HTC website. Rather than having to navigate through the HTC eClub (HTC’s customer community club) to get at the latest software updates and downloads, they’ve moved software downloads in to the Support section of their website.
A simple couple click through the Support section and serial number are all that separates eager HTC customers from whatever software updates are available for their handsets. Of course, HTC eClub is still going strong and will continue to provide free downloads to customers – ringtones, wallpapers, etc.
