Telus to start selling HTC Touch Diamond on August 14th
By Dusan Belic on Thursday, August 7th, 2008 at 10:35 AM PST In Devices, HTC, Windows Mobile
We’ve already reported Telus will be adding the HTC Touch Diamond and now we know the exact release date. It’s set for August 14th when our Canadian readers will be able to grab the all-touchscreen Windows Mobile 6.1 based smartphone for CA$149.99 on a three-year contract. The price, naturally, goes up with shorter term agreements and ends at CA$449.99 sans any contracts.
As for the compatible services, the HTC Touch Diamond will work with TELUS (NYSE: TU) mobile email, TELUS Navigator and TELUS Applications Storefront – Pocket Express…
Want it? You’ll have to wait for one more week. In the meantime, hop over to Telus’ website for more information.

This is certainly a better alternative to the Samsung Instinct available today at Bell Wireless. The HTC Diamond is an attractive feature-packed device that gained tremendous internet media attention. And it certainly got my attention as well from the day it was released. There isn’t a Windows Mobile device on the market today that looked or performed better than the HTC Diamond. As for me, I am anxiously waiting for the HTC Diamond Pro.
Well, today is the 14th, and I just confirmed with my local Telus store that they are NOT available, even though they are apparently “on their way.” I couldn’t get any specific date beyond that.
