Spice X-1 gaming phone

No wonder Sony Ericsson is interested in acquiring India’s Spice Mobiles. Their recently launched gaming phone, Spice X-1, looks like something the Swedish-Japanese handset maker may release in the not-that-distant future as part of its “F” series of mobile gaming friendly handsets.

Back to Spice X-1. It’s clearly a mobile phone designed to appeal to the youth audience who dig the idea of playing games on their handsets. It features a 2.4-inch screen, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio with record and play feature, and a microSD expansion slot. Being a gaming dedicated device also means it boasts a decent sound quality thanks to Yamaha-amplified 3-D surround sound technology, and dedicated gaming keys (like the Sony Ericsson F305). Plus, let’s not forget the X-1 comes with pre-loaded games and a gaming console to make the mobile gaming experience more enjoyable. Opera Mini is also pre-installed on the device…

The Spice X-1 is now available in India for Rs.8899 (about $210).
