Nokia N96 gets the FCC approval

Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s upcoming superphone, N96, has been spotted while passing the FCC hurdle. The device in question sports a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band UMTS (WCDMA 2100/850; HSDPA) radios. No carrier partners are known at this stage, but even if we don’t see it hitting AT&T (NYSE: T), which is known to carry some of the Nokia smartphones in the U.S., you’ll be able to grab the smartphone in the Finnish giant’s flagship store in New York or Chicago, or through online channels. I’m sure Nokia will issue the press release once the N96 starts selling. Stay tuned in the meantime…
