Can’t wait for that rumored late-October launch date for the highly-anticipated Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 superphone? Good news, the ever reliable source of all that is shady and questionable, eBay, has a Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) XPERIA X1 posted for all interested bidders.
We’re not going to comment on the legitimacy of the auction, which is presumably offering a prototype handset, nor are we going to try and guess how much people are willing to pay for the unreleased handset. But, if history proves to a reliable measuring-stick, we’ll see this auction ending with a well-heeled bidder offering more than $1,000 for a chance at owning an unreleased cellphone.
