Sure you can grab the Motorola ROKR E8 through Best Buy in Canada, but that doesn’t stop the country’s leading mobile operator, Rogers (NYSE: RCI) Wireless, to officially announce the device. That’s exactly what they did, and now Canadians can grab the dual-mode ROKR E8 for CA$99 on an always-too-long 3-year plan.
As for the device itself, we’ve already covered it in the past. I’ll just repeat that the ROKR E8 features the the award-winning “ModeShift” technology that transforms it from a phone to music player to mobile camera with the touch of a button. Then there’s an iPod-like “FastScroll” navigation wheel for browsing through your music collection, 2-inch QVGA screen, Bluetooth, FM Radio, 2GB of internal memory and a microSD expansion slot.
Commenting on the announcement, Rogers Wireless’ John Boynton said: “With its smooth and seamless design and integrated music features, Rogers customers will be able to rock out in style.”
