Sprint to launch red HTC Touch Diamond?

We’re not sure whether we should trust the image above or not, but it certainly would be nice to see the HTC Touch Diamond in some other color than black. Not that the black Diamond is ugly, quite the contrary, but seeing it shining with the red back makes the device look even more fashionable, or at least that’s the way I feel about it.

Anyway, the rumor on the street is that Sprint may be launching the red Diamond. We’re not aware of the release date nor the price. Heck, as I said previously we’re not sure whether the image is legit or just a work of a Photoshop master. We certainly hope there’s some merit to the story, though we can’t confirm much at this stage. Keeping our fingers crossed won’t do any harm, in the meantime…

I work for an exclusive authorized Sprint dealer and the owner of my company played with one the other day. It is indeed red like the pictures, the only difference between the GSM diamond and the CDMA is that the Sprint CDMA version will have a smooth back, not the diamond “cut” style like shown on the GSM version. Should release in a few days :)
