Eltawil is dumb. The Palm Treo is the MOST versatile phone on the market staring with 700 wx. The Pro just tops it off. You name it and the Palm Treo Pro can do it.

I think this is a good effort by Palm, although I don’t think it is enough to steal some BB and HTC users –

This phone will be available throughout Canada within the next few weeks.

The rest of the world will unfortunately have to wait 2-3 months before they’ll be able to get their hands on it.

Just found your site, looks informative! I currently have the TREO 650W on Verizon. Will need to upgrade within the next six months. Do you know when this new one will be available? I don’t care about the camera because I use a separate camera anyway for house photos. The camera value for me would be to catch something in transit that I want to post to the blog. I vote for function over size. I also want to incorporate new listing search tools on the phone.

I disagree. I rather like the designs of the Palm devices. Sure, it doesn’t have no kickass sliding keyboard but that just decresses the effort required to type. LMAO. I have a palm Centro and I love the device, no doubt, and this looks like it would be a very nice phone to own. I can see Palm hitting some good sales margins with this baby. The only thing I’m concerned about is it’s lack of a 3.2 megapixel or higher camera. That may be a bit of a “turn off” for most users. Plus they should also offer this with the Palm OS rather then just Windows. I am a huge fan of Windows OS but Palm is very simple to use, a preference to entry level Smartphone users. Palm has some good things instore for them with this phone, I think it will be exactly what they needed to help pull them out of that pit.

The general form factor and thickness of mostly all Palm phones haven’t changed for a very long time. The new phone still looks like a brick and the screen size is still small for most smartphone users. Palm is waaaay behind in smartphones.

I think Palm lost it’s creativity somewhere along the way.
