iPhone 3G coming to Turkey via Turkcell

Turkey’s leader mobile operator, Turkcell, has announced that it will bring the iPhone 3G to the country. The official release says that the shiny handset will be available to the operator’s both prepaid and post-paid customers.
Turkcell’s CMO Lale Saral Develioglu said that they are very excited to be working with Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) to bring the iPhone 3G to Turkey, adding “iPhone 3G represents the ultimate in mobile device technologies, and we can’t wait to offer this innovative product to millions of mobile customers later this year.”
No exact release date is given nor any information about pricing. These and other information (such as calling plans) will ba available at a “later date” on Turkcell’s website…


i’m from Turkey and we don’t have a 3G technology to run that kind of mobile phones… On the other hand, beside Turkcell, Vodafone and Avea are also going into the proposal for management of 3G technology in November. So i’m wondering how things are gonna be happen..
