ZTE gets huge China Telecom CDMA Contract

ZTE gets huge China Telecom CDMA ContractFor those of you that didn’t believe that ZTE are a force to be reckoned with (both in devices, and infrastructure), here’s more proof – they recently won (part of) a contract with China Telecom, estimated to be $1.5bn! And the scary thing is that this contract is apparently a taster to a much bigger tender of $10bn!

Interestingly, ZTE hasn’t got the whole cake to itself – Huawei (another massive Chinese infrastructure vendor), and AlcaLu have also grabbed some fiscal goodies.

Telecoms-wise, China is where it’s at for sales right now – barely a day has gone past recently without an announcement about wins for Chinese companies, be it in the domestic market, or abroad.
