UK: Samsung 8MP i8510 arrives at Carphone Warehouse!

Following up on Dusan’s post about the announcement of the Samsung i8510 (”INNOV8″), with 8MP camera, the uber-imaging device has now hit UK shores!
There are an extremely impressive set of specs (as you can see above), and Carphone Warehouse is offering the device on the Orange network with a £35/month Tariff over 18 months, giving the device for free!
This is one cameraphone we might have to try and get hold off, to see if those 8 Megapixels actually do deliver great images – for now though, you can find the official Carphone Warehouse page for the i8510 here.

nonetheless I ordered mine today from the carphone warehouse
I opted for the 16GB version. I called the cancellation line to inform them that I wanted to stop being on O2 and move to Orange. The guy goes to me that if I wait he can talk to his manager and come back tom me and bring me an offer that’ll match Orange.
Basically I got to stay on the same network with a renewed 18month contract for £35/month and free internet when I got an extra 8GB microSD card for £20….
I’M GETTING IT ON TUESDAY!!
Does anyone know how long Carphone warehouse have the exclusive contract for???
O2 have offered a better contract if I go direct with them, but they haven’t got the phone yet…….
