Samsung T919 3G for T-MobileT-Mobile’s AWS 1700Mhz 3G network is starting to take its first steps in to the world of nationwide 3G, and with T-Mobile expected to bring more than a couple dozen additional 1700Mhz 3G markets online by October, it makes sense that manufacturers are starting to warm up to T-Mobile’s own special flavor of 3G.

The 1700Mhz AWS frequency spectrum that is now home to T-Mobile’s 3G network is apparently mentioned as part of the Samsung T919′s supported frequency bands. FCC documents show the Samsung T919 should be launching in the US with full support for EDGE on the 850Mhz and 1900Mhz bands, and the thing that really sparks our interest is the mention of AWS HSDPA.

Now, neither Samsung nor T-Mobile have announced the Samsung T919 for use on T-Mobile’s 3G network, but the 1700Mhz 3G radio makes T-Mobile almost a sure lock for the Samsung T919. Keep an eye out for T-Mobile to complement their Sony Ericsson TM506 Bella with yet another affordable 3G handset in the near future.
