Mobileyes live traffic camera app hits AppStore

Mobileyes is a very neat application for iPhone users frustrated by getting stuck in traffic jams. It provides them with live video that literally shows where traffic is moving around town — and where it’s not.

The application shows live video and still images of roadways in major U.S. metropolitan areas — including Detroit, Hartford, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Knoxville, Los Angeles, New York and Washington D.C.

When downloading the app, you should check the full range of cities and pick the one you live in or commute in most. The application also includes “travel” mode where drivers can switch to other regions on the network that they will be visiting.

Images can be downloaded in low, medium and high resolution, depending on your current connection — i.e. pick hi-res when in a hotspot…
