A recent survey by StudyLogic revealed some pretty interesting statistics about device usage by professionals in the home. A startling 35% of respondents said they would pick their device over their significant other if forced to choose, which either paints a poor picture of the quality in relationships on the whole, or says a lot about how great electronics are getting. 81% of the 1500 respondents say they’re working harder than they were five years ago, and the equally-vast majority check their handhelds at all hours of the night and day. Despite that, 62% say they love the things, and 85% say technology gives them more quality time and flexibility with family and friends. What about you guys? Does mobile tech get you closer to (or estrange you from) the things you care about?

I just get my fiance (nokia e71)really cool toys, as well as myself (nokia n958gb), that way I don’t have to choose. (if I really had to though, I’d choose my fiance in a heartbeat)

The good part about being single is that I have nobody nagging me about getting a new phone every 3-6 months. Still, those close to me, like my immediate family, have access to the cool tech hand-me-downs so in the end, everybody wins. ;)
