Samsung i900 Omnia
The Samsung i900 Omnia has been getting some serious press of late for its iPhone-fighting style and dominating feature-set. The sleek, all-touchscreen handset has been expected to give Cupertino a run for their smartphone-money before the year’s out, and the latest rumors point to an early-October launch on AT&T (NYSE: T).
Engadget Mobile is reporting that AT&T should be picking up the Samsung i907 (the US-spec variant fo the Samsung i900 Omnia) as the AT&T “Mirage” as soon as next month. AT&T loves to re-brand their handsets, and it seem the Samsung i900/i907 Omnia is no exception. The Samsung i907 and i910 both passed through the FCC, ostensibly on their way to AT&T and Verizon (NYSE: VZ), respectively, so it’s only a matter of time before we see the Omnia hitting AT&T. In fact, AT&T could launch the “Mirage” on October7.
Stay tuned…

If this actually happens, this could be the phone that I finally re-extend my contract for.
I especially like the native support for DivX… so I can watch some REAL movies!
The only negatives I see are no xenon flash and no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Ahhh what a beautiful device but will now be loaded with bloatware from AT&T and things like “Internet Sharing” may be removed. I am willing to bet that it will not have all the apps found in Omnia i900. Will AT&T take out podcasting app?
Last but not the least, since AT&T will be selling this device, now you have to buy $30 internet plan instead of $15 that is if you had bought it unlocked unbranded from internet.
Having said that, the device is awesome & powerful!!
