BlackBerry 8900 Javelin sells for $17,100

There are only a few people who could possibly want an unreleased BlackBerry this badly – RIM, developers, or competing manufacturers. The winning bid of $17,100.00 was made by a Canadian, jdavidson31, who, based on a quick Facebook search, doesn’t work at RIM. So who does that leave?
Maybe James Davidson from integrated technology research group RadiSys was looking to do a bit of poking around the Javelin’s insides…?
Maybe Jim Davidson from March Networks is interested in the IP video possibilities with the Javelin’s camera…?
Maybe James Davidson, Accountant at KPMG, had both the financial access as well as some members of his firm interested in the technology…?
Or perhaps James Davidson of Berkshire Securities saw some potential for investment… think he’ll get his money back?
What about Josh Davdison from MoxyMedia? He’s based in Kitchener, maybe Moxy’s got a BlackBerry blog he’s bought it up for…?
Mayhaps Davidson Violette’s John Davidson is doing some consultation work for a carrier who wants to know if the Javelin will work with their infrastructure…
There’s of course Jay Davidson, an analyst at RBC, who might have a connection to RIM through the BlackBerry Partners Fund…
Plenty of big companies have something to gain from the unreleased BlackBerry 8900, that’s for sure…
