Woman sold phone with “preloaded” naughty images!

I did let out a slight chuckle when I read about a poor woman who went in to a “Dick Smith Electronics” store in Australia to buy a Mobile phone, and subsequently found out that someone had previously used it to make a photo diary of what sounds like a dirty weekend in a hotel!
The story, featured on The Register, explains that the University student was sold a display phone (can you see how this whole thing occurred now!), and when the call volume was apparently so low that the phone seemed to be faulty, the student checked the rest of the phone – finding the selection of 49 images, with various levels of sexual content!
Apparently the student made quite a thing about it, suggesting that she was upset because she didn’t know where the phone had been previously (urgh, grim!), and it would appear there will now be a compensation payment.
I wonder how many people would be genuinely offended by something like this? It’s wrong for the images to be on there for sure, but how desensitized are we to this stuff nowadays – me, I blame the Interweb for that
Anyhoo, if you want to take a more probing and in-depth read of the story, you can see it here.
