The LG KC910, successor to the Viewty and 8-megapixel-camera behemoth, was slated to launch in October as per their official announcement, but some sticky-fingered forum-goers managed to get their mitts on one a little early. This one is Bouygues branded, so you can expect to see it in France at very least, but don’t hold your breath for a U.S. launch. Specs?

  • 240 x 400, 3-inch touch screen
  • 13.95 mm thick (slimmest 8-megapixel shooter yet)
  • aGPS for geotagging photos
  • Wi-Fi
  • 3G (HSDPA)
  • Image stabilization, auto-focus, manual focus, Face Tracking, Smile Shot, blink detection, up to 1600 ISO
  • Up to 120 FPS video

The code-named Renoir will be competing with Samsung’s INNOV8 and Sony Ericsson’s C905 for sheer camera quality, however that big, full touchscreen will be offering an experience completely distinct from the other two, which are in a more traditional slider format. It looks like the 8 megapixel race is settling in, but how long until we make the jump to 9?
