As the Storm is supposed to be primarily a business tool, and that it has MS Word and MS Excel edit capabilities, unless this device can also plug into a real keyboard it will be totally useless to me. I'm looking for ways to leave my laptop behind on business trips, and if the Storm can plug into a real keyboard so those who actually know how to type can efficiently add 25 pages to a major business document in the hotel room in time for a meeting the following morning it will be a huge blessing. But if I'm left to type reports only using my thumbs...well, hello laptop :-).

1st - about me - pro consumer, into gadgets, technology

currently customer of ROGERS WIRELESS... not happy

as this is interested phone/subject, how about we -
people that are using come with the perfect phone /
features, and I will start:

from the phone I expect good coverage, in the elevator, in
all stores, and most area ...

* the ROGERS TV add few dropped calls, most reliable
network ... it is so wrong!!! no signal, or just
message Network BUSY?!???!??? My other cell provider
Telus works in basement, in underground garage,
and it works in most area ... where asphalt road
exists vs. ROGERS - only core down towns ... :(

* due the radiation, phone should have at least small
antenna. phones like this (candy-stick) use your ear
as antenna ... and you will not read about this in
   your phone manual...

* bluetooth 2.0 fine, but no WiFi?!?? maybe if it is
not bad thing for ROGERS because they charge in
money, blood and kidneys), for accessing the net
via ROGERS wireless network... You get point.

ok, back to ideal phone:

* easy sync with desktop application (MS Outlook or
any other - calendar, address, tasks, etc)

* easy to enter ... keyboard or virtual keyboard/
touch screen. If keyboard - have space when I press "G"
   I will not press "F" and T" and B ...

* usb indeed.

* should be robust enough if dropped from hand - by
mistake, screen does not get scratched and phone
still works! // ... do not try to test if you have
   HTC phone ... * body - magnesium / titan ...

* GPS is interesting, but thank you - No.
mostly people have dedicated device - for gps
car. Note, running GPS will drain battery faster
+ add the bluetooth ... again you get picture.

* form factor, not heavy but not to light, battery
easy to access / replace if I have a spare batery
easily fit into hand ... and I can use one hand palm
fingers to operate for basic operations such as
phone calls, messaging, simple data entry ...

  * camera is nice, but 2 or 3 MPG, video ... but
stores in external micro SD by default.

  * themes should be professional and user friendly
e.g. my last nokia, has stubby display ... as
you have feeling that half of the screen is missing.
on top of that, colour that Rogers branding provide
so eye disturbing: red, silver, or nokia money
nice but very hard to read in low light condition.

I do not want to have a flashlight in other hand
or use other light source to be able to read, use
    the phone.

  * GSM ... phone can be used in many places, and have
2 slots for 2 different SIM cards. so you can the
phone with home provider / roaming to get calls,
messages, and use local provider for making calls
sending sms ... as it is much cheaper then use your
    SIM card in roaming ...

- let hear vox populi!

No WIFI? When are these idiots going to learn that when you want to sell a product, you have to give the consumer what they want. We're tired of being ripped off.
