Londoners forgot 62,000 phones and PDAs in cabs during the last six months

Living in a large city such as London is both rewarding and stressful. I guess we all know that, but I was still kinda surprised to learn that dozy Londoners have left a whopping 55,843 mobile phones and 6,193 other handheld devices in the back of black cabs.
Credant Technologies carried out the survey amongst London’s licensed cabbies, and pointed out that these people [who have forgot their devices] may have stored up to 10,000 Word documents, 11,000 pictures, 500,000 contact details or 1.1 million emails in their now lost devices.
To be fair, the company also stated that there’s a 80% chance that your forgotten device will be returned to you, so if you’re not working with sensitive documents that’s almost a non-issue. At the same time, the report says that if you happen to lost your phone/PDA in a New York, the chances of retrieving a lost device are 66%…
