During the recently ended CTIA in San Francisco, Verizon Wireless has launched Facebook application called Ringback Buddies, which allows users to browse, purchase and manage their ringback tones and jukeboxes while on the site. In addition, the top 10 lists of tones and jukeboxes are there to sample or buy, and users can also share their favorite tones with other Facebook users.
If you’re on Verizon, simply search “ringback” on Facebook to find and install the application. When on Verizon’s Facebook Page, click on the “music” tab under “Featured Applications” to access Ringback Buddies.
The application is free, but individual ringback tones costs $1.99 per year (stupid licensing). Additionally, using ringback tones will costs you 99-cent per month on Verizon.
