Home screen customization

It looks like Android’s taking a page out of the Xperia book by tailoring separate screens depending what the user’s up to. Being able to section off home screen shortcuts and content while still having easy acess with a quick sideways swipe is pretty nice, indeed. It’s very desktoppy, which I had been worried about, but seeing this all in action makes it worth reassessing the situation.
