Sony Ericsson Exec Sounds Off on Android

Now that Android is a reality on the T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) G1, a Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) exec has chimed in. It appears he has some big reservations about the new open source mobile platform.
At a media event in Copenhagen, Sony Ericsson’s chief technology architect Mats Lindoff let his opinion be known. While he confirmed that they are indeed testing Android, it sounds as though he isn’t a fan of the platform…. at least not yet:
“To go with mass production and working with prototypes are two different things… If you want to give every service away to Google (NSDQ: GOOG), then Android is the perfect solution.”
It should come as no surprise that Lindoff also confirmed Sony Ericsson has no plans to launch any handsets based on Android.

Your missing the “t” in reality (first sentence).
Anyways, this is interesting I’d be open to the idea of a sexy android phone w/ a high megapixel count.
Also, does anyone know if the calendar events get displayed on the home screen as I’m hooked on this feature from symbian.
