Oracle Business Approvals coming to iPhone

iPhone is now definitely ready for enterprise and Oracle knows that. Hence the enterprise software maker has announced Oracle Business Approvals for Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s handset.

The application includes two Oracle’s apps — Oracle Business Approvals for Managers and Oracle Business Approvals for Sales Managers — that deliver “targeted and task-oriented information to help managers make informed decisions.” The first of the two applications enables managers to view pending actions related to expenses, purchase requisitions, as well as HR vacancies and job offers. On the other hand, Oracle Business Approvals for Sales Managers gives executives the power to evaluate and approve pending sales quotes from their iPhone.

Oracle Business Approvals applications consist of a native iPhone app and a connector, licensed on a per-user model from Oracle, which integrates with the ERP and CRM applications using Oracle SOA Suite and optional OBIEE technologies for scalability and deep integration. Secure mobile flexibility and performance are delivered via the SSL encryption protocol and Oracle’s Identity Management.
