Pantech Matrix coming to AT&T

Always highly informed Boy Genius has caught the official AT&T (NYSE: T) document which deals with the upcoming Pantech Matrix phone. The device, which will undoubtedly pushed towards heavy texters, has a Pantech Duo like dual-sliding form factor, sporting both a full QWERTY keyboard and a numeric keypad. Other specs include dual-band UMTS/HSDPA, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Video Share support.
The Matrix will be available in either red, blue or black. Price is not known at this stage, though.

i bought this phone like a week ago and its pretty good
it lags just slightly but overall im satisfied with it

I am a very heavy texter. I hardly ever talk on the phone I am always texting. This phone is awesome. I couldn’t be happier. Originally I went to Radio Shack the other night to get the LG shine but thanks to the clerk at the store he asked me some questions and i answered them and he suggested I get the Pantech Matrix I love the fact that you have a choice to text with the regular number pad or the slide out keyboard. Also the camera is awesome and so is the video camera, and voice recorder. I send and all kinds of picture, video and voice mesages to my friends every day and they just love getting them and they are so glad I got this phone too. I love the at&t Navigator too, I use it everyday. I had no clue about this phone until the guy at radio shack told me about it I wish i knew about it b4 but at least I got it now so thats all that matters.
i want that phone soooo bad my cousin has it and it is the most awesome phone ever

This Phone is badly made and should be recalled. My brother just got this phone less than a week ago and it already broke. (The slider broke free on one side.) ATT won’t replace them or take them back. I have been researching and have found many others with similar problems. The concept is great, but the actual product is mechanically DEFECTIVE.
ong i want this phone so bad !!!!!!!!! it looks aweson and the day it came out i wanted it. my plan isn’t up for a while but im begging my dad for it and he said maby but i also kinda want a touch screen but idk is it worth it ????????????????
is the matrix worth getting i mean does it lag, or is it very delicate when you slide the phone to the keyboard does it come off?

How do I put music on my phone from the computer without having to buy all my fav songs all over again?
Damn i want thiss phone soo badly. it looks reallyy good and i hope it don’t like break cuzz if i slide it too muchh. But this looks relaly good and ima try to get it in few dayss.
I hate the matrix had one the slider came off returned it and the next slider came off now i have to deal with a broken phone for two days because the Manager is not it………so not happy with this phone dont waste your money..most of what i am reading is that it is the green and black ones that break and thats what i have..DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I love my pantech matrix cell phone i have everything i want iin it howvere i dont know how to put the music i already have on my computer on to my phone. the sales rep said i could do that but when i tryed to it wouldnt let me. it said i didnt have the authority to do so…can anyone help me

I have had mine for 3 months no problems. I thought the silly breaking apart thing wouldn’t happen to me and the other people were doing something extreme and out of the ordinary. I went to dinner one night and pulled out my Pantech matrix. Just as I slid it open one side collapsed leaving the other side sagging down and useless. The main point is DO NOT GET THIS PHONE I AM WARNING YOU IT WILL BREAK AFTER A WHILE THIS IS NOT A JOKE SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE IT IS FOR REAL!!!!!!!! THIS WILL HAPPEN!!! THE PHONE IS SICK BUT IT WILL BREAK!!!!!! IF YOU ARE SMART YOU WILL LISTEN TO THIS COMMENT AND WON’T BUY IT!!! TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive had this phone since christmas of ‘08 and at first i wanted this phone sooooo badly but just a couple weeks ago the slider broke free on one side and theres a sticker by the battery that turns pink when wet and if its pink the warranty wont work with it.. it is a really nice phone but you have to BE CAREFUL WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
even though it broke free on one side it still works..
i do love it but dont get too over excited over it.
first i wanted to get the lg rumor but when i heard about this phone i had to have it. i have been begging my mom for it and she said shes gonna try to get it as sooon as possible. it sounds great.
