Guys, IE 6 Moble is in fact based on the wildly unpopular IE 6 rendering engine. You can read more about this as well as my opinion here: http://www.techurbia.com/2008/12/new-ie-mobile-based-on-ie-6-really-4.html

IE 6? It is back in 2001. They are using a 7 year old browser to update their mobile browser with. Are you serious? Rediculous.
IE6 doesn't even support 3/4 of CSS. How is going to support 3/4 of the websites coming out and being built in CSS. Again. Shows that Microsoft is behind the times when thinking and implementing their software and browsers. How can they convince people to switch to IE7 or IE8 on their desktops when their mobile browser is 2 generations behind.
Really?!!??!!

LOL.

"The problem with the current Internet Explorer Mobile is that the code underlying the browser is based on Internet Explorer 4 - back in the late 1990’s."

And the problem with IE6 is that it dates back to 2001! That was before Firefox, and when Opera 5 was the king of alternative browsers.

Yes, OPERA FIVE!

IE6 is so outdated it's laughable.

Okay, listen up.

I've used IE6 on Windows CE for a couple of years. It's fast and powerful.

And if MS does their usual, then anyone can write an app that includes IE6 as a component. That means anyone can write tabbed browser shells, etc, just as they did for PIE. Savvy?
