Oh no they didn’t. In a move to punk Samsung for the “World’s Slimmest 8 Megapixel Cameraphone” title, fellow South Korean cellphone manufacturing giant LG has officially unveiled their LG KC780 8 megapixel cameraphone as the multi-megapixel shooter phone with the world’s slimmest waistline. This battle for higher pixel densities and slimmer form-factors sure is heating up quite nicely.

Following on the official announcement of the 13.8mm thin Samsung M8800 Pixon 8 megapixel touchscreen cameraphone, LG has gone all official with their own 8 megapixel offering. LG is expanding their 8 megapixel cameraphone portfolio, adding another offering alongside the LG KC910 Renoir that we recently got a peak at. The LG KC780 sports a limited touchscreen (for multimedia functions), quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE support, Bluetooth 2.0, and 30fps video recording in a vertical-slider form-factor. And, as the world’s newest slimmest 8 megapixel cameraphone, we can expect the LG KC780 to measure up to no more than 13.8mm on the profile.

Specifics on the LG KC780 are slim at this point, but expect LG to release a barrage of details on their latest megapixel monster in the near future. All we know at this point is that LG can now lay claim to the thinnest 8 megapixel throne.

I like this review. Still, is there any photos and clips taken by KC780?

I bought the LG KC780 and the phone is very good. But I have problem with music files in AAC format. If I upload them to the memory card, the phone very often crashes. Does anybody have similar experience?
