Yeah, I'd be interested in this too. I recall that there was a WinMob phone with DVB-T receivers built in ( http://www.intomobile.com/2008/01/11/e-ten-unveils-e-ten-glofish-v900-with-dvb-h-dvb-t-t-dmb-dab.html ) but unfortunately I've never seen it in live use.
If DVB-T worked it would be lovely for consumers, but I'm sceptical about reception and battery life as you are. Those were amongst the main reasons for developing a mobile-optimised standard (DVB-H) in the first place.

We, the consumers, want FREE Mobile TV!!
FREE, FREE, FREE.

We don't care what technology is used to get FREE Mobile TV to our Mobile TvPhone!!!

Only geeks and tech heads are concerned about the technology.

Give us FREE Mobile TV and in turn, we will watch commercials/advertising so we can watch our FREE mobisodes.

Where can I buy a Free TvPhone? -- someone sell me one now! and then upsell me later!!

Hook me first with FREE!!

In economic downtimes, consumers want FREE Mobile TV!!

Let advertisers subsidize Mobile Tv service!
