Today Cricket launched its new PAYgo prepaid offering. Three packages are available:

  • $1 buys you unlimited local calls and voicemail, caller ID and three-way calling,
  • $2 adds unlimited text and picture messaging, and
  • the $3 plan adds unlimited U.S. long distance, international texting, mobile Web and directory assistance

Add to that the fact that you will be charged only for the days that you actually use the phone and you get a killer offering.

Initially, PAYgo will be available in Cincinnati/Dayton, Savannah/Hilton Head and Houston markets first, with others set to follow in the near future.

  1. I’m not so sure about that $3 plan. If it includes mobile web then what would you need directory assistance for? And how many people text internationally considering there are language barriers?

Better to use the $1 or $2 plan and just call 1-800-FREE411 if you need directory assistance.

  2. Kim Watkins says:

I like the paygo option, except for i feel text should be a $1.00 plan not the $2.00 plan due to alot of younger users text more than they talk.
