Virgin raised the Pearl price $50 (from nil) after the 8330 news broke. Perhaps silence is their strategy; don't cannibalize Pearl sales until the curve is on the shelf. But raising the Pearl's price is weird ... if the Curve is in fact $99, it puts it at almost the same price point as the Pearl.
