Bring on the Mobile TV deployments I say!

Qatar Telecom and Nokia (NYSE: NOK)-Siemens Networks (NSN) have agreed on the deployment of a DVB-H OMA BCast Smart Card Profile (SCP) Mobile TV platform - which apparently is claimed will be the first commercially-ready implementation.

As you may know OMA BCAST SCP is the variant of DVB-H that is gaining the most traction now, with the weight of all the major TV handset vendors behind it. In this case, the Nokia N96 is going to be deployed as the mobile receiving device.

As I said in an earlier post, I really must get an N96, and go test some commercial services (that may require some plane flights though as there ain’t no DVB-H love goin’ on in the UK!)
