UK: Saturday Papers – Phones review

As mentioned in my last post, I was checking out the Papers this weekend -seems old-school doesn’t it – but occasionally the printed word is nicer than looking at the TFT monitor, however big it may be!
The next item I noticed in The Daily Mail on Saturday was on “current phones”, and their scores relative to each other – I have no idea the reviewing index or scheme used, which is what makes it interesting, but apparently the three best phones are those pictured above (not to scale), which all got 9/10.
Plenty of other devices got 7/10 and 8/10, and the poor old Motorola (NYSE: MOT) Z10 got 5/10. But what is it that makes a good device in the eyes of the reviewer – well for the short time it’s with them, surely it has to impress in many fields – for a tech reviewer, it will have to REALLY impress to get a good score, but I would imagine for the average reviewer, something that has ease-of-use, is intuitive, and looks nice, would probably do it….. much the same criteria as for many new owners of these devices……
