LG Prada II officially announced

Just as we expected, LG has announced the second Prada phone. As you can see from the image above, the LG Prada II adds full slide-out QWERTY keyboard on top of the original device. But that’s not all. The second-gen Prada handset also packs new goodies under the hood — including 3G compatibility with video calling (7.2Mbps HSDPA), full HTML browser, 5 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens, and Wi-Fi accessibility. The official release doesn’t say anything about the operating system used on the Prada II, so we’re guessing it’s LG’s proprietary mobile OS. Kinda sad, when you consider this baby could run Android or Windows Mobile.
Anyway, the release date is set for Q4, meaning we should start seeing the first Prada II units hitting stores anytime soon. That’s at least in Italy, UK, France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands where the fancy handset will be initially released…

Looks like a worthy successor…I’m just glad it’s quadband this time -
Surely I am ready to buy one of these ASAP! I have honestly never had a phone as good as the Prada I. And I’ve had the craziest, “smartest” phones. There’s so many things I want to know about Prada II, but I’m getting limited answers. I’m dying to know when I can purchase it!
