Windows Mobile on the iPhone?

Norwegian developer Erik Kristiansen has apparently developed a beta software that allows a user to run Windows Mobile on the iPhone. It looks to function a lot like Boot Camp. Turn on the phone, select your OS and go. The most interesting exchange in the video below for me was when interviewer Jessica Young asked Erik why Norwegians keep coming up with these crazy iPhone apps:
‘We have long winters and a lot of time so we have to do something…’
‘You don’t have girlfriends in Norway?’…
‘Yes, of course, but they program too…’
Good grief. It should be noted that EngadgetMobile thinks there is something fishy about this one. This could simply be a bad viral piece for another iPhone app that was promoted where this video was located… So take it with a grain of salt for now.
Update: Numerous reports are now floating in that this was indeed a hoax. Still, don’t be surprised when something like this pops up for real.

Viral marketing campain by sonic emotion
Anyone who ever used a Windows Mobile phone/device before will immediately know that it’s a complete hoax. No question about it. But would we expect something similar? Yeah, why not. But the real question here is ‘Why?’. The idea sounds a bit useless to me.
