BlackBerry Pearl Flip on Rogers going for $50 after all?

By Simon Sage on Friday, October 17th, 2008 at 10:06 AM PST In BlackBerry, Rogers, Rumors

BlackBerry 8220 Long ago when we were first hearing about the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) 8220, there were rumours that the Flip Pearl would be available on the cheap for students going back to school. That train may have sailed, but the price point might stick around after all. We’ve seen some conflicting Rogers documentation before, so this Canadian Best Buy inventory record might just be a relic from a scrapped pricing plan, but it’s hard to tell at this point. T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) already got the BlackBerry 8220 in the U.S., and since their pricing is more in the $150-range, it seems unlikely that Rogers (NYSE: RCI) will offer such a vastly better promotion.

I had no idea they were creating a flip blackberry! That looks very promising.
