ChaCha provides election information via SMS

Remember ChaCha, the human-powered search engine? We’ve already covered it on IntoMobile and now they caught our attention again by expanding their offering beyond pure search results.
They’ve recently announced the cooperation with youth voting initiative Rock The Vote! to help people get election-related facts via SMS.
To get your election info fix on your handset, simple send an SMS to RTVOTE (788683) and a ChaCha guide — a real, live person, in this case specifically trained to give nonpartisan information about politics — will give you an answer. It’s that simple – try it and you’ll love it!

this especially appeals to younger voters who are attached to their phones 24/7. chacha is the perfect way to reach them, maybe it’ll even get them out to the polls!
That’s surely helpful, and esepacially for the democrats this election season
Would it be nice though, say four years from now, have an option to vote from your personal cell phone directly?
I hear in UK they want to start verifying your passport before giving you a cell phone. If it gets that far, it would be logical to let folks vote from these devices too!
I guess fraud issues would be a major concern..
Ultimately though our cell phones will be our ID’s, passports, etc.. so it’s coming sooner or later.
