Terry Myerson, the Microsoft executive that has overseen development of Exchange communications server software for the past 7 years will take over the development of Windows Mobile. Development of Win-Mo had been rumored to be in turmoil lately. Myerson will become corporate vice president of the mobile communications product group, and will replace corporate vice president Todd Warren. Warren is to stay on at Microsoft as corporate vice president of technical strategy.

Jeez, could they make their titles any longer!? :P

Windows Mobile 6.1 was released in April, and to-date there has been little word on the release of Windows Mobile 7. The last rumblings I heard was that Windows Mobile 7 could arrive in the first half of 2009. Lets hope these changes have a positive effect on development.
