I waited to upgrade my phone waiting for the BlackJack III. Found out AT&T changed it to the Epix. I just got my Epix a few days ago. This is not a professional review, just a personal one. I upgraded from the BlackJack II and so far the Epix has met all of my requirements and more. Getting used to the optical mouse only took 5 minutes, now I can fly through menus with one hand. The touch screen is easy to use. You can swipe your finger accross to move web pages, or use the built in stylus or the optical mouse. And if you are used to the 4 way d-pad, you can turn off the optical mouse and use it that way. The aGPS works great, much more accurate than the aGPS in the BJII, I tried out the Wi-Fi feature at the library, and I was able to log on without problems. Most of my third party software that worked with the BJII doesn't work with the Epix. Google maps works good, albe to use the GPS features without any hacks. I had to change the settings to get Live Search to work. I have mp3's on my micro card, and the Epix was able to use them as ringtones, playing the entire length of the song instead of a few seconds. I use Dashwire to backup my data, there is no Epix option, so I choose the i780, which was as close as I could get, it worked fine and I was able to download all of my backups to the new phone. The 2mp camera works good, pictures were clear and bright. There is an option to turn off backlights durning a pre-defined time to save battery life. And the battery is big, I have had my phone two days now, have been using it, testing it, and I haven't recharged yet. Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional is very different than the WM6.1 standard I used with my BJII. It didn't take much time to set it up. The voice command option is great. From my bluetooth, I can make calls and use features of the phone.Nice.
There is a lot more to tell, but my overall thoughts are. It's a great phone

I believe it will have GPS, but of course ATT will some how tie it directly to their navigation software (which is, well, blah). All in all, seems like a strong offering from Samsung if the price is right.

...and finally, wifi!
