I work for Rogers and I’ve just checked the latest updates and this is what it says:

Equipment: HTC Touch Diamond (Wireless Rogers)
26-Nov-2008
Effective today, the HTC Touch Diamond is available for new activations and hardware upgrades.

So thera ya go =) (Rogers site hasn’t been updated yet?!)

I don’t get it….!! In the UK we’re struggling to get used to the idea of a 18 or 24 month contract, let alone a 36 month one….

Here’s were I get lost:
1) I’ve never owned a phone that has lasted 12 months without the need for repairing (current phone has come the closest but there is still 6 months before upgrade). So why do I believe that any new phone will?

2) When I upgrade (normally after 12 months) If I’m told that I will have to pay for the phone (lets say that it’s free on another provider), then I play one of the other. Doing this saved me the equivalent of £900 in one year.

3) Finally, more than a year without a new phone…………. I’m only just resisting the “i’ll get than on a new contact, I’ve only 3 months to run on this one.”

How is it the the US providers get away with charging so much…..

I have been using the HTC Touch Diamond for a few months now, I should say it is an amazing device. This is the first time I am using an HTC device and I highly recommend the vendor as well as the device. I suppose there are numerous versions and colors what I am using can be seen at HTC Touch Diamond
