WorldMate has recently unveiled a new brand identity and the biggest upgrade of their WorldMate Live mobile app/service.
I won’t discuss the new brand identity here — let the designers do that — it’s the WorldMate Live that’s on my radar. The newly revamped application is “significantly improved” in terms of usability and now includes a new home screen featuring a contextual dashboard based on users’ travel behavior, and a “carousel” display and navigation of all WorldMate Live’s services. Mentioned services include hotel booking, itinerary manager, and other relevant tools like real-time flight status updates; maps and directions to hotel, meetings and airport; and weather forecasts.
In a nutshell, it’s a must have app for every frequent traveller out there who users either BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) or Windows Mobile powered smartphone. WorldMate Live allows users to easily create, plan and manage their entire itinerary, as well as access critical real-time information related to their travel schedule. It has been downloaded by more than 1.5 million users during the past 12 months.
