I am on t-mobile, and was really looking forward to the G1 but it has too many 'artificial' restrictions (primarily no tethering, and no OBEX). For all its so-called openess, and despite my love for all things Google, the G1's nearly obligatory binding to the Google 'cloud' is also a downer for me. Are you using the E71 on 3G (AT&T)? I just think Nokia is capable of building the perfect phone, and the E71 may be it, and I may end up switching (when tmo contract ends in February) to the evil AT&T purely to exploit this phone's 3G.
