Telus (NYSE: TU) customers in Canada will have a new LG device to add to their holiday shopping lists.

The LG Chocolate GiG is a brand-new music-focused device. You might also know it as the LG Chocolate 3, or LG 8560 (Why must some devices have so many names!?) The device has all of the standard features and apps including easy-to-manage contacts and calendar.

The GiG is a flip phone and weighs in at a measly 98 grams. Great for those that want a smaller device that packs a lot of punch. It comes preloaded with 1GB of internal memory for your music, a MicroSD slot for up to 8GB of space, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 2MP camera with video, 2.2″ QVGA display and more. Quite a few nice features.

You can pick up the LG Chocolate GiG at Telus on one of the following options:

  • 3-year contract - $99.99
  • 2-year contract - $199.99
  • 1-year contract - $249.99
  • no contract - $299.99

For more information on the device and plans, go ahead and hop over to Telus.

  1. Jason Lackey says:

One of the cool features of this phone is the fact that it is manageable over-the-air, so things like firmware updates will be possible, which I think is really cool. If they find bugs in the phone later, many issues will be fixable over the air with a firmware update - pretty cool stuff, huh?
