Samsung has announced another 5 megapixel camera-equipped phone. It’s the SPH-W6050 model, which aside from a powerful camera (with auto-focus), also boasts a stunning 3-inch WVGA haptic feedback-enabled touchscreen. Lack of WiFi may be a deal-breaker for some, but then again, there’s HSPA support, which with the proper plan (unlimited) and carrier coverage should do the job just fine. In addition, a DMB TV tuner is on-board to make commuting hours more interesting. Finally, a microSD memory expansion slot is there to help you take as much as digital content with you as humanly possible.
At the moment, the Samsung SPH-W6050 is a Korea-only product and we’ve no clue whether they’ll ever export it to the western hemisphere. We do, however, know that interested users will have to pour out around $600 in order to grab this baby. Maybe without that DMB tuner the price will go down, and soon enough we’ll see it introduced in other parts of the world. We certainly hope so…
