You know you want it. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a, the US-spec variant of the XPERIA X1, has finally been announced for the US market. And, with the XPERIA X1a officially blessed by the FCC, Sony Ericsson is set to introduce the US to its latest flagship smartphone and the innovative Sony Ericsson Panel UI.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a rocks the 3-inch WVGA touchscreen display that made waves in the mobile phone industry with 800 x 480 pixels of resolution. Add to that the QWERTY keyboard, 3G data connection, integrated GPS receiver, WiFi, and 3.2 megapixel camera – all powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional wrapped in the XPERIA Panel UI – and you’ve got the makings of a smartphone worthy of Sony Ericsson’s new range-topping XPERIA brand.
Well, following on Sony Ericsson’s move to make the XPERIA X1 available to the US as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a, Best Buy is now taking pre-orders on unlocked XPERIA X1a units. The Best Buy online storefront has the XPERIA X1a shipping as soon as November 23.
If you’ve been jonesing to get your hands on the badass smartphone from Sony Ericsson, make some room on that credit card and put in your order for your own $800 unlocked Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a.
