BlackBerry Storm coming to Bell and Telus on same day?

BlackBerry 9530 from Bell and Telus

Last we heard, Telus BlackBerry Storm launch parties were stretching all the way until December 12th., presumably with a release proper shortly after. Now we’re getting some information from the Bell side of the fence, the live demo units will be available around December 10th., and that Telus and Bell will be launching simultaneously. This is good news, since we haven’t heard much from Bell on the BlackBerry Storm since their notification page went up on announcement day, but we are left to wonder how the two carriers will differ in their offer. In most places where the Storm will be released, providers have locked down exclusive deals, but in Canada, two carriers will be offering it. There were rumours that Bell and Telus were stuck in a bidding war for such a contract, which clearly led nowhere. As much as I’d like to see Bell and Telus desperately trying to undercut one another for the holiday season, Canadian carriers tend to work together a bit to provide mutually exclusive plans that allow everyone to grab a piece of the pie, as evidenced by the BlackBerry 8130 launch and remarkably similar plans last year.

it is true. there was a bidding war. telus started associations first but bell came after and threw a bunch of money at blackberry for exclusivity.
