RIM’s long-overdue BlackBerry 8350i has been locked into Sprint (NYSE: S)’s Nextel iDEN network, but we haven’t heard about many other international releases aside from Latin America. Well, word has is Telus’ push-to-talk service, Mike, will also be hosting the new BlackBerry Curve in the near future. No word on release date, but they say that this Curve will be a little more ruggedized than the average Curve, which is key for the industrial environments where PTT is most used, and especially necessary when the old Curve devices aren’t exactly the toughest phones on the block. In addition to the usual web browsing, e-mail and music capabilities that all the latest BlackBerrys enjoy, the 8350i will also be packing Wi-Fi and GPS - both handy features no matter what sector you work in.
